Men's basketball: (H) NHTI 65 - U-Maine Augusta 61
Coach Paul Hogan's NHTI men's basketball team defeated the U-Maine Augusta Moose 65-61. Despite only shooting 34.5% in the game the Capitals held on for an ugly win.
Atsushi "Spike" Segi (Japan) played a very nice game adding 12 points on four three-pointers. Also playing strong was Ryan Lambert (Derry) who added 11 points nine rebounds four assists and three steals despite missing about a quarter of the game with an injury. Peter Dargy (Laconia) contributed with 13 points and seven boards and Martin Olivier (Manchester) played excellent off the bench totaling four points with six rebounds. The Capitals are now 15-5 on the season and will play on Wednesday when they host the UVM Club team.

今日の相手は先日負けているチームで、去年から苦手意識がありました。なんていうの、凄い上手いわけじゃないけど相手のペースで試合されることが多かった感じ。自分自身ターンノーバーやシュートミスを犯すなどなかなかいい思い出はありませんでした。しかし、今日で吹っ切れましたよ”やはり常にポジティブに行こうって決めてから調子が上がった感じがします”内容としては３Pは６本中４本でした、が最後の１本は昨日の試合と同様、決勝点でした。
ピックアンドロールからワンステップバックして３P、基本１月３日からポイントガードをやり始めて思ったのは、ガードも点とって何ぼやという事だったので、フリーはもちろん決めに行くつもりでシュート打ちました。入ったときはほっとした感じですが、実はこのチームとはあと２試合するので、その後が大事だと思っています。
明日と明後日となりの州で試合なので頑張ってきます。写真なども見せれたらいいなって思ってますので♪”
